How Does Our Mosquito Misting System Work?
Our Mosquito Mist Away System is a permanent, automated system installed around the outside of your home and the perimeter of your yard. Your mosquito control system is custom designed to adequately cover all places that mosquitoes and other insects live and hide. Our system uses a 55, 125, or 225-gallon reservoir and an automatic timer that distributes a blanket of mist around your perimeter.
At timed intervals (about two to three times a day, for about 30-40 seconds), Nosquito’s mosquito misting system releases a fine mist of pyrethrum insecticide through a series of mosquito misting nozzles installed on your property that repels and kills mosquitoes, chiggers, flies, spiders, wasps and other biting insects.
Once installed, our mosquito misting system virtually disappears into your landscape. You won't even know it's there. Whatever your requirements, a Nosquito mosquito misting system can be customized to fit your backyard.
Once activated, and even upon the first mist, you will notice an instant decline of annoying insects within your sprayed area. After a week or two the results will be even more dramatic. Our systems are effective, versatile and easily modified or expanded. Please keep in mind, however, that it is impossible for our mosquito misting system to be 100% effective.
Our Mosquito Misting System is Absolutely Safe!
Nosquito’s Mosquito Mist Away System uses insecticides that provide maximum effectiveness and are EPA registered and approved. Misting can be set to automatically spray late at night or early in the morning when everyone is absent.
For your convenience, our experience and expertise also allow us to offer a 30-day, money-back guarantee.
If daily mosquito misting seems like too much for your yard or business, Nosquito also offers a monthly mosquito barrier spray that lasts up to 21 days.
The following is a list of the different parts associated with our mosquito misting system:
Reservoir
Several different size reservoirs exist to fit any installation application. The size of the reservoir is determined by the size of the area to be protected from mosquitoes and flying insects. The benefits of this system make it the most successful mosquito insect control system available.
Pump
The positive displacement pump provides high pressure and quiet reliable service. The reservoir contains an automatic float-switch to shut the system off if the level of fluid becomes too low, protecting the system from damage. A pressure valve and gauge are included to ensure the system pressure is properly adjusted and maintained.
Nozzles
Misting nozzles are strategically placed around your back yard providing a barrier of protection. Nozzles can be placed on structural overhangs and fences, as well as attached to trees and shrubbery. The system uses the highest quality stainless steel nozzles and nickel-plated fittings.
Each nozzle has a built in check-valve that shuts off below 90 PSI to prevent dripping. Nozzles are generally spaced 8 to 15 feet apart and 6 to 12 ft high around the perimeter of the area to be protected. Spacing and exact placement depends on the environment and is unique for every installation. The nozzles spray a very fine mist over the protected area trapping all insects that are flying, not giving them a chance to escape. The mist is designed to hang in the air up to 2-4 minutes, killing everything that flies through it during that time. It kills on contact.
Tubing
The tubing is high-pressure, thick walled nylon tubing that can be used indoors or out. We use clear or black UV rated tubing. And, the next time you paint, the tubing can also be painted if you so desire.
Layout
The area most commonly protected by automatic insect control would be the back yard of a home. Nozzles are placed around the fence lines and on eaves of houses. They can also be placed around outbuildings and garden sheds and in trees. Riser nozzles can be placed in foliage and flowerbeds.
